All of our instructors are USHPA rated and are ready to pass on the joy of free flight. Most importantly, Bay Area Hang Gliding has the best safety record in all of Northern California.
Hillside Lesson Rates:

10 Lesson Package @ $1,500. . . $150 ea. (Includes books, airspeed indicator, and Free Tandem Flight!)
Groundschool is also included when you learn to fly with us.
What To Expect On Your First Hang Gliding Lesson
The first thing you learn is to set up a hang glider. Within an hour, you will be learning how to hold the glider and prepare for launching.
Launching and landing are the most important parts of flying, so you will learn these first. WARNING! After several short flights on the training hill you may be hooked.
Each hillside lesson lasts about four hours and all hang gliding equipment is provided. We suggest you wear an old pair of jeans and a good pair of running shoes with some traction.
Bay Area Hang Gliding Instructors are ready to teach 7 days a week. We're known for small classes and a personal touch. We'll schedule no more than four students per instructor, this gives the students more personal instruction as well as more flying time.
We ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your reservation, if we don't receive at least 24 hour notice your $80 deposit will be forfeited.
